Info

The island of Pag with its surface of 285 km2 is the fifth largest Adriatic island. With its 270 km of an indented coastline, riddled with bays, coves, capes and beaches it is an island with the longest coastline on the Adriatic.

The largest cove is the Paška cove, encircled by 20 kilometers of pebbled beaches. Pag is unique for its almost complete absence of trees. Rocky ground predominates on the island, grown with thin grass and low aromatic plants, sage and immortelle. These aromatic plants provide the main food for sheep on the island, and they also give the widely known Pag cheese its unique flavor.
